Emma is a Traverse City Native who has always had a passion for furry friends. She graduated from MSU with a degree in Zoology, with concentrations in Zoo and Aquarium Sciences, Ecology, and Behavior. She loves her job at the Cherryland Humane Society, where she has worked since 2018, as well as here, at Barks and Rec since 2022.

Emma is a Fear Free Certified Trainer, a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT),  an Accredited Dog Trainer through the International Association of Behavior Consultants (IAABC-ADT), and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge-Assessed (CPDT-KA). She also has a sweet, sassy husky who keeps her on her toes.
